The company became a sole proprietorship when Alan Foo withdrew from the partnership and Michael Yap

     had since become the sole owner of the company.

     The company first operated from premises in SEA Park, Petaling Jaya from 1980 to 1988.

     It then moved to Section 17 in Petaling Jaya in 1988 and remained there until 1992.

     Michael Yap then purchased a shoplot in Taman Sri Sentosa, Kuala Lumpur and relocated his business

     to this current location.

     The company is registered with the KEMENTERIAN KEWANGAN MALAYSIA

     (Finance Ministry of Malaysia) as a contractor under the categories of:

Samuel Yap

   A NEW BEGINNING....

     Following a decision to retire this year (2025), Michael Yap has decided to pass down the business

     to his son and daughter, Samuel and Grace Yap to continue the Alan Michael legacy and transform

     Alan Michael to meet the future challenges and take on better business opportunities.

     The change from the traditional tailoring to a more diversified business model has become necessary

     and the impact on Alan Michael is no exception. Grace Yap, assisted by Samuel Yap will now helm the

     next generation of Alan Michael starting in April 2025, provding services in the fields of

     General Insurance, Homestay, Property and more in the future, while still keeping tailoring services

     as long as possible for the still many loyal customers.
